Book Store Launches All-in-One Website
Beck's launched a redesigned and more innovative BECKSBOOKS.COM to create a one-stop-solution for all of your college and high school textbook needs. The newly implemented ISBN search capability allows customers to easily find the needed books . . . to rent textbooks, buy textbooks or sell textbooks for any college, university or high school. The site also features updated store pages for schools serviced directly by Beck's along with a price comparison feature to give customers the best price on textbooks.
Bob and Nadine Beck founded Beck's Book Store in 1955, opening their first store at 22 East Chicago Avenue. After six years of success, Bob opened his second store serving the students of Northeastern Illinois University. Through the years, Beck's has continued to grow and, in addition to NEIU, now serves students at Loyola, Northwestern, City Colleges of Chicago, John Marshall Law School and most recently, Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South high schools.
Altogether, Beck’s has now grown to encompass four on-campus bookstores, three off-campus bookstores, two high school bookstores and three online e-commerce bookstores. Beck’s is proud to have been granted certification as a Female Business Enterprise (FBE) organization under the Business Enterprise Program for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities by the State of Illinois Department of Central Management Services on August 31, 2010.
