Ryerson. The Strength in Metal

Chicago Web Design - Ryerson, Inc.

North America's largest steel distributor, Ryerson, Inc., went live with a new corporate website on January 3, 2006. Formerly known as Ryerson Tull, the company had acquired Integris Metals, Inc. located in Minneapolis, MN in 2005. The company decided to change its name to Ryerson, Inc., which required rebranding, a corporate identity facelift and website overhaul. Selected from among several Chicago area web design firms, BolderImage in partnership with SkilGoup, Inc. won the contract in November of 2005 to re-design and implement the new website for launch in January of 2006. Several new design concepts were developed by BolderImage, with the current site design being the one selected and refined. The new design needed to be applied to a number of previously existing website features and sections (also designed by BolderImage in 2000).

They were:
• Corporate website
• Stock List
• Investors site integration
• ARTIE, the Ryerson Intranet
• Expanded Products & Services section New features added:
• Zip code searcheable locations page
Flash animation on home page, and throughout the site
• Search engine friendly code and graphics
• Updated seasonal graphics for ARTIE
